Almost There! A Fundraiser Concert

Well, sorry I haven't posted very many updates lately.  That just means we are getting down to the wire here with our plans.  Its all happening so fast now.  I've been on heavy medication for the last three weeks now, and it is taking its toll on my body.  I am probably not the best person to be around since my moods are about as unpredictable as say, the weather.  I am tired all the time, and especially this week all I've been able to do is lay around in my jams (pjs, for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about), and sleep.

Mike has been so good to me, and I feel extremely lucky to have such a great husband who does so much for me and does it with a smile on on his face all the time!  :)  I can't say enough how much this experience has brought us closer together.  I love him so much!

Hard to believe that come the 4th of July, I could potentially be pregnant!!!  The idea is so alien, you might as well tell me I'm going to the flying pig farm.  I can't imagine it.  But I'm still hopeful.  I don't know where it comes from, but I am.  We are actually scheduled to have IVF the 4th of July.  I'm starting my injectible medication in the middle of June (which is NEXT MONTH!!!), a mere couple weeks away!  And we are flying to our fertility clinic in CA around the 28th of June where we will stay with Mike's parents who live down there.  There has been so many road blocks along the way, and although we are still not out of the construction zone, I can at least see our goal, and we are ALMOST THERE!

Which brings me to the next update... ;)

The Fundraiser Concert: "ALMOST THERE"

This passed Saturday, May 22, 2010, was a concert that my parents arranged to have for their church members as a fundraiser for our cause.  There were cookies and punch, and a whole program of music that my great dad put together for his group, The Jericho Ensemble, which I have been a part of since I was about 14 years old.

It includes me (I play flute & violin) my brother (who plays accordion),

my grampa (guitar) and of course my dad (who leads, plays piano & trumpet).  :)

In between the music, my mom told inspirational stories, and all in all, it was a lot of fun because it was such an informal concert.

But the guests really enjoyed it, and at the end of the night, we could hardly believe that from their offerings alone, we earned $212.75!  Thank you, Mom & Dad's church people!!!!  :)

Now, if I can only figure out how to upload a video, you can pretend that you were there, too...  stay tuned... might need technical support for this one...
